Hello! I have recently moved into the area (Eddington, Hungerford) and have taken on a large garden, greenhouse, small overgrown vegetable patch, fruit trees and a garden shed. Fortunately the main area is laid to lawn.
Unfortunately, I know precious little about gardening. I can mow, strim and chop but when it comes to planting flowers and vegetables, pruning, trimming, taking cuttings and making bulbs and seeds grow - I know nothing.
I wondered if anyone could spare some time to help/teach me the basics to get me going. Finally just to start me off, I recently holidayed in Mauritius and came back with about 100 plants of 22 varieties. Some are clearly dead but miraculously some are still alive. Making sure that they survive is also another project!!
I would be pleased to discuss this further with someone and will remunerate in some way! My phone number is 01488 681839.
My boss and his family have just moved in to the address below and have a very large garden which is beautiful. One part of the garden was once a vegetable garden which has been sectioned off with hedges and is hidden from the main garden. This area has gone slightly wild and unkempt.
Much that my boss and his family are keen on their garden, due to times issues it has become difficult to focus on the vegetable side of things. The idea that we came up with was to find someone who would like to take the vegetable garden on as a fun project and to boost it into being a productive garden. The result would be to split the produce 50/50. Due to the enormity of the garden it might also be ideal to have a cutting garden of flowers. My boss would pay for all the compost and seeds/bulbs etc.
Would you be kind and email me your thoughts and suggestions as to where I might find such a person who would wish to take on this adventurous project.
